What is an affiliate program? How
does it work? |
| |
An affiliate
program allows you to place links to our products on your web
site. By placing these links, visitors to your site have the
opportunity to buy products. When a product is successfully purchased
(paid, shipped and not returned or disputed) by one of
your visitors through our web site, we pay you a commission.
Our affiliate
program allows you to make money by referring customers to our web
site. You do this by placing links on your site. Every time you
refer a customer to our site, and that customer makes a successful
purchase, you earn a commission. Every month during which
you have earned more than $25.00, we pay you a commission based on
a percentage of the
sales you referred to our site plus any milestone bonuses.
When you become
a Wicked Scents affiliate we will give you some lines of HTML and an
image that you can place on your own web-site. When someone is
on your site and clicks on that image, they will be passed to our
site. We then keep track of their purchases and pay you a
commission on anything they buy during their session. |

Why should I join the program? |
| |
You will have
the opportunity to increase your revenue potential with very
little effort. As an affiliate, you can add value to the content
of your own web site and your marketing e-mail. We process all customer orders and handle all payments. |

Who can become an affiliate? |
| |
Any citizen and resident of the United States and at least 18 years of age. Whether you run a large
commercial web site, a small personal blog, a non-profit site, or
anything in-between you're welcome to join the program. We also
welcome owners of opt-in e-mail newsletters. All applications are
manually reviewed, and we reserve the right to refuse any
application, especially if the site or e-mail list contains
objectionable material, participates in unsolicited e-mailing or
is a "parasite" [what’s
a parasite?].

Can I be an affiliate if I don't
have a web site? |

Yes. There
are plenty of offline techniques to use such as distributing
business cards, posting fliers, or simply relying on word of
mouth. Just make sure your referrals use your unique Partner ID
when they visit our web site. |

Is my web site eligible to become
an affiliate? |

Any site can
join, and we will accept a wide variety of sites into our
program. However, we reserve the right to refuse any site in
accordance with our affiliate program terms and
conditions. |

Are there any restrictions on what
sites can become affiliates? |

Everyone is
welcome to join but we will not affiliate with sites featuring
merchandise or downloads that infringe on copyright laws
(bootlegs, etc.), those which exhibit hatred, racism, adult content,
or similar explicit content, those which engage in unsolicited
e-mail campaigns, or those we deem unsuitable to represent us. We reserve the right to alter, limit or
terminate an affiliate account at any time for any reason.
We reserve the right to refuse any person or site for any reason
at any time. |

do not expect to be exclusive on your web site. |

absolutely free to join our affiliate program. |

How much do you pay your affiliates? |

We pay an 18%
commission. Please refer to our affiliate program terms and
conditions for specific details. |

How much can I earn? |
|
There is no limit. |

When and how do I get paid? |
| |
Approximately 30 days following the end of each
sales period, if your
accumulated revenue is $25.00 or more, we will mail you a check to the address listed
in your affiliate information. If the referral commissions payable to
you is less than $25.00, we will withhold payment until the next
sales period when the total amount due is at least $25.00, or until
this agreement is terminated. If a product that generated a referral
commission is returned by the customer canceled, or an otherwise unsuccessful
revenue-generating order, we will deduct the
corresponding referral commission from your payment.
If your affiliate account
demonstrates no revenue-generating activity for two consecutive months, we
reserve the right to terminate your account. Should this occur, we will
attempt to notify you via e-mail, mail you a check in the amount of your accrued
commissions to the address listed in your affiliate information, and terminate
your account.

How can I tell how many sales have been credited
to my account? |
|
You may log into our web site 24 hours a day from anywhere in the
world and view your stats. |

What about product returns? |

If a customer
returns a product for a refund or if credit card charges are
reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will
be debited any commission earned on that particular sale. |

How do you know that the order referral came from
my site? |
| |
You
will be issued a unique ID. This ID must appear within the
linked web address that you place on your site. Our web site
recognizes this unique ID and associates every sale with you. |

Do I earn commissions on my own purchases? |
|
Yes. When
you visit our site through yours and complete a successful
purchase, you earn the same
commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor
purchase. |

Will becoming an affiliate increase traffic to my
site? |

Our affiliate
program is not designed to help
you increase traffic to your site. However, it enhances your site
with content, so your user return rate may be higher. |

What are revisit days and how do you track what
visitors came from my site? |

Revisit days
allow you to be compensated for orders placed on our site after
the initial referral. When a visitor comes to our site
from yours, they will receive a cookie that will expire after
a 30 day period. Within this time period, assuming the
client has not deleted the cookie, when the visitor comes
back to our site and makes a successful purchase we will query the cookie
information from the visitor, associate it with you, and compensate you accordingly. |

You can run
reports daily or as often as you prefer. Our system is
updated in real time. |

My sales went down in the stats! What happened? |

At the end of
every month, we audit every account and remove voided or
fraudulent sales. Since the stats show all sales, regardless of
status, your sales stats may fluctuate as the month progresses.
Reasons that an order may be voided or removed from our system
include, but are not limited to, customer cancellation, fraudulent
order, or order placed but payment not received, including credit
card chargebacks. |

What is a parasite? What is your policy
regarding parasites? |
| |
The term
"parasite" refers to technology (including browser plug-ins,
helpers, toolbars, popups, etc.) that intercept and change an
affiliate's link. This technology is also known as "unsolicited
commercial software" and is often found in Adware and Spyware
software. Parasite activity essentially "hijacks" the affiliate’s
link and the affiliate commission gets redirected to the parasite,
instead of the affiliate who rightfully earned it. This type of
software is normally installed unknowingly, often without the end
user's consent. Excellent descriptions of parasite software,
how it gets installed, and how to remove it are prominent on the
Internet.
We are committed to preventing any
parasites from invading your program. If we determine that
any of our affiliates are parasites, based on referring URL/IP, they will immediately be
deactivated. |

Where should I place the links on
my site? |

You should
place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find,
such as on your home page and any other high-traffic areas. If
you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site,
your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase. |

Candle Company" name and images? |

As long as you do not alter the logo or images, you are given a
short term license to use
them. Other than for purposes of promoting our products, you may not act or advertise as a representative of
Wicked Scents Candle Company, Inc. |

the price, however, as our prices are subject to change without
notice, and customers may be confused if they see one price on
your site and another price on ours. To be safe, it is best to

to your affiliate account on our site, click on Edit Affiliate
Details, and update your information. |

handle all order processing and customer service for the customers
that you refer to us. All you have to do is place links on your
site. |

You are

be as few or as many links as you like but, remember, the more
sales you help create the more money you make. You are also
responsible for safeguarding your Wicked Scents affiliate
